Have you ever noticed the initials after my name; ever wondered what they stood for? The Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC), Certified Temporary-Staffing Specialist (CTS) designations are certification programs offered by the National Association of Personnel Services. The Certified Personnel Consultant is the oldest designation in the staffing industry, instituted in the 1960s. The focus of this designation is the search and placement segment of staffing with a concentration on the laws and ethics that govern this area. The Certified Temporary-Staffing Specialist designation was introduced in 1989 and is the standard bearer for the temporary staffing segment. NAPS acted proactively to introduce this designation, which has enhanced the professionalism and knowledge of this industry segment.

Because of trend toward greater corporate accountability mandated by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and the growing awareness of the need for higher standards throughout the business world, I think it important that my clients understand that I have successfully pursued a designation which I hope demonstrates to you my commitment to professionalism and the highest ethical standards.
