First - my apologies to anyone who inadvertantly received this newsletter with last month's listings attached.... Fortunately I perform search assignments better than I deal with new electronic technology!
What promised to be a monthly newsletter has unintentionally turned into a bi-monthly newsletter and my apologies for that! The reason is sort of good news/bad news. The good news is that the economy is improving, oil prices are approaching record high levels, and hiring activity continues to be quite strong. The bad news is that the baby-boomer generation is approaching retirement and the mergers and acquisitions over the last few years have driven many experienced professionals out of the industry. Additionally, the lack-luster industry performance of the previous three to five years didn't attract the up-and-comers into the industry as new-hires, and the result is that experienced professionals at all levels are in very short supply and high demand. This is a recruiter's dream and a recruiter's nightmare! Fortunately our track record of performance as search and staffing professionals in the refining and petrochemical industry has allowed us to be preferred providers for many of the industry's prominent employers, and we're pleased to be able to represent these clients and their opportunities.
The NEW list attached is only a PARTIAL representation of the positions we are currently working on. If you are open to opportunity, please look at the enclosed potential jobs for hire, cut and paste those jobs you are interested in and enclose your most recent resume. I never present without first talking to you, so if you are a match for the position, I will call or email you. Please share this document with anyone who may be interested in our services, candidate or client.
